When making coffee, it's a good idea to put the carafe in its place before turning on the machine and heading off to sort through laundry. Failure to do so will result in a large, hot mess.
And you'll waste a cup or two of coffee.
Now, I really don't think I can be held morally culpable here...I hadn't had my first cup of the day yet.

Unfortunately, it is a crime against coffee Hobs. BUT, I still have sympathy for you, becuase I too know the feeling of uncoordination before caffeine is pumping through your veins.
If you ask for it, I'm sure the coffee maker will gladly grant you forgiveness.
