Here's One of Those Sentences that Make you Wince

Me, talking to my mechanic yesterday:

"What's the worst case scenario here gonna run me"

"Aww, you don't want me to answer that...Let's do some diagnostics first."

Don't want me to answer that? Ugh. Please pass the hemlock.

Finally was able to get a number out of him (but he insisted several times that it probably wouldn't be that)...a few hundred more than the purchase price.

Make that a double hemlock to go, please...
